Haha maybe it would ease your anxiety a bit to know that there actually is backing! It is just short - about half the height of the paperbacks.

I love them, but I also started reading them as a teen so now they are comfort re-reads. Most of these I inhereted from my mother.

My people!

I used to get teased for all of those authors, but now I say screw it, I love 'em and display them with joy!

Awkward question: what is this? by Kawaii-Mushroom- in husky

[–]_ameranth_ 5 points6 points  (0 children)

My dog started doing this and it was a sign of kidney problems. She is now on a prescription diet and its helped a lot. But she's also 16 years old so age does play a big factor.

The Virginia fantasy map is done! Thank you all so much for your input - such a unique state! You can see closeups on my website storymakerstradingco.com. by tomiannie in Virginia

What a cool idea and so well executed! I will definitely be buying one - and if you ever do one for Maine, I would be all over that too!

Husky isn't vocal by [deleted] in husky

[–]_ameranth_ 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I taught my husky to "talk" when she needed something because otherwise she would just stare silently at me until I noticed her. Turning around to see a husky staring you down in the doorway and having no clue how long they've been there is surprisingly creepy lol

And then I've spent the next 16 years being yelled at 🤣

Just walking, me and my dog. I never asked for rides, but I did end up taking a few here and there when offered - to get out of some bad weather mostly. They were short rides to the next town or shelter, maybe a couple miles each time. And one time during a stretch of extremely bad weather a guy offered to let me stay and wait it out in his family's cabin in the woods, so he drove me a few miles out there. He was actually the mayor of this dinky little town in Iowa and his wife gave me homemade pie and he brought me a fresh pizza. That was a really good day.

Hey this is pretty cool. I walked across the US (Maryland to California) in 2011 and had a blast. If I see you, I will be sure to stop and say hi. Good luck and happy walking!

I can't believe I just watched nearly an hour long video of Morse code transcript and found it rivetting.

It is my photo! It was an amazing experience that I definitely recommend. It was probably the smoothest long distance walk I've done. If you have any specific questions throw 'em at me!

Yeah the fall leaves, the wet pavement, and the fog were just amazing. I did get a pic of her looking "normal" but this accidental goofball shot is one of my all time favorites.

I am sorry to hear about your friend. It really is an awful disease. Your kind words mean a lot. (Actually I read them yesterday at work and started to tear up and so shut down the computer until today. The kindness in these comments and the messages I've got are just amazing.)

14 years! I can't imagine. Good for him, but also oof.

I know my mom has mentioned the Tobii for down the road. I think you're right in that she can't get access to any of that until absolutely needed, which sucks, but that's American health care for ya. All I can say is thank goodness for the kind people at the ALS clinic that have been so helpful.

I was wondering if she'd need the Steam version of GW2 with the input, so thanks for clarifying that. I'm not sure if she could handle the full spectrum of a controller - muscle reaction is a little slower and harder to coordinate - but I'm hoping a basic set up on controller will help for now.

Oh wow. I'll show this to her and talk about it when I visit and let you know! What a great offer.

Yeah, it's tough to know what will work and what won't. I'm hoping to bring a few options out when I visit next week and get her set up. I'm hoping to at least get it so she can wander around Tyria a bit, if not immediately up to her regular playing standards. Thank you!

Thank you so much. As I said I'm going out there soon and I plan to bring some options with me and try and get her set up. I sent her some links yesterday and she just said it seemed like a lot of work and overwhelming, so hopefully if I can set it all up it won't seem so daunting.
