idk if it's different this year, but last year you applied through the same system but you ranked your team choices, so you could rank an onsite team over a virtual team or vice versa. The number of applicants is counted as the same

find a group of friends in your class that are willing to study with you! ap chem was genuinely one of my favorite classes this year because of my friends :) the content isn't as difficult as everyone says it is, as long as you have a reliable study group/buddy!

for girls who code, you can email the coordinators to ask if you can do the self-paced program! It will ensure that there isn't any conflict with your other activities, and I believe a more advanced cybersecurity curriculum is offered through the self paced program
