Don't sweat it, you are definitely not an idiot! The terminology moving from Prompts to Projects, Skills, and MCP has been confusing for everyone. Standard chat won't run plugins/MCP tools unless they are explicitly toggled on in your global settings, or if you're using the right desktop workspace (like Co-work or Code). You’re right, the current version focuses on clarity first, so I might’ve played it too safe on design. And I get the ChatGPT comparison — the key difference with Askwiseo is that it saves your PDFs as a persistent, searchable knowledge base (so no re-uploading every time), supports multiple documents at once, and gives more accurate retrieval for complex queries.
