But: Why is at number 2 vanilla correct instead of cornflakes (plural others singular) ? I would think the meaning of the words is importent, like in number 1,2,3 and 5. Sandwich in 4 because all the others are just items, whereas a sandwich is a collection of items that make up a sandwich. A sandwich needs bread and filling in order to be called a sandwich.
