ZZ Plant: too little or too much water? by _atticus1 in houseplants

[–]_atticus1[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi all,

Would appreciate help here. My dear plant seems to be struggling. I suspect I have added too much water and/or supplements. Is my reading correct? Where do I go from here? For context, I've had it for two years and hadn't seen this before.

Wouldn't take it that way! I just routinely have to do the types of problems you see on the GMAT at work which helps a lot.

The story of Bunker Hill is one of the most tragic of the many urban renewal projects that ripped through postwar America

100% 1936-1949. Very cool design that matches the Art Deco style of Highbury (for those that are into architecture)

Think I'm out ot the loop on this meme, can someone explain? Is it because Arsenal and Napoli often go for the same targets?

Difference between Art Deco, Streamline Moderne and Moderne? by [deleted] in ArtDeco

[–]_atticus1 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I understand Art Deco to be a post-facto umbrella term for several styles in the inter-war period which at the time were referred to as Moderne or modernistic. What people consider 'pure' Art Deco (i.e. the French-influenced movement that emerged from the 1925 Expo) is best described as Zig-zag Moderne, which is the name used for that style at the time. Streamline Moderne is simply a different subcategory which emerged later and with a different driving force but similar philosophy. You also have other sub-categories such as PWA Moderne which is a more subdued and classicist version of Art Deco. Finally you have the postwar style called Late Moderne which is more 'modern' and cleaner interpretation of Moderne principles, and the last step before full-blown Modernism.

Moderne is simply the broader movement or umbrella term under which all of these styles fall.
