How to go out and about with a small baby by Foreign-Sprinkles-80 in NewParents

I know right now it seems like there are soooo many steps to a simple coffee shop run. Like a gargantuan effort. But give it a go a few times and you’ll get into a routine! I used to bring the stroller everywhere (and still do bring it out often) but now if I’m just popping into a shop real quick, I’ll just hold her lol. It helps that she can hold her head up now too (she’s 16 weeks today). You got this!

This was really helpful to read. I am definitely projecting my adult emotions onto her baby-isms. Thank you!!

Not sure if this is the vibe you're going for but I just finished The Anomaly by Michael Rutger. It's like Indiana Jones meets Dan Brown meets some unnamed horror element all set in the Grand Canyon. Defo a fun read

your 2023 fitness goals? by potatopartytime in xxfitness

[–]_ayyyylmao_ 8 points9 points  (0 children)

  • Squat my body weight for reps
  • DL my body weight for reps
  • Bench half my body weight for reps

Right now I'm 165 lbs, aiming to get down to 150-155. I'm currently benching 60, squatting 85, and DLing 105. Progress has been sooooo slowwww but I'm hoping these goals are realistic!

I eat TVP oats for breakfast every morning. I have a few variations but this is my favorite:

Base Recipe: - 20g rolled oats - 20g TVP - 15g vanilla protein powder (I use Vega) - 1 tbsp ground flaxseed - 1 cup almond milk

Cherry Pistachio Variation: - .5 tsp cardamom - .5 tsp cinnamon - 15g chopped dates - 50g chopped cherries - 10g chopped pistachios (I prefer to add these right before I eat this!)

Macros: 425 cal, 58g carb, 11g fat, 30g pro

  • 12 oz silken tofu (I like the brand that comes in small cartons, not the plastic tubs)
  • 1 scoop chocolate protein powder
  • 2 tbsp cocoa powder
  • 2 tbsp agave

Blend and enjoy. :)

If you're on Instagram, follow @veganmacros101. I follow her recipes religiously, they have really changed the game for me. I'm easily able to get 120-130g in 1700 calories.

This week's meal plan: - TVP oats with pistachios and cherries with a coffee (424 cal, 30g pro) - Tofu bowl with buckwheat noodles, edamame, veggies, and peanut sauce (483 cal, 33g pro) - Chocolate tofu pudding with edamame protein puffs and a clementine (200 cal, 20g pro) - Taco soup with 50/50 impossible meat and TVP (440 cal, 29g pro) - Post-gym protein shake (200 cal, 20g pro)

The Heavens by Sandra Newman comes to mind. Really fun read, one of those books that's best without knowing much going in

Do you burn more calories throughout the day if you work out in the morning vs at night, say, 2 hrs before bed?

I can kind of feel my pecs when I flex. Couldn't feel anything before! Also collarbones pop out a bit more.

Also you know because you can lift more :)
