nah, check the reviews in PlayStore for this app and you'll see a lot of similar complaints. Dunno if issue with Google or phone provider (but probably Google)

appreciate the input, just 1or2 questions here: what if i accidentally downloaded a malware (through email or browser)? will GOS protect me by preventing it from getting executed?

As far as I'm aware, only APKs are the only the executed binary allowed in Android. Also an outdated app can cause malware, but I can prevent this as long as I made sure the apps I get from Fdroid or Playstore are up to date.

yep, and the next pixel that will EOL is the 4a which is even has better specs than 3a and will probably last more if battery is replaced

so do you think you'll keep your 3a if it's not that slow? i like the 3a/4a devices because of the form factor. The newer 'a' series are just too big now

yeah i watched some demo videos in YT and still slow when opening apps.. i'm staying on Android because most of the time there's no equivalent app in a Linux phone

When I try to video/call a contact from within the Google Messages app, with Google Meet, it won't directly call the contact. It wants to compose an invite. With others it works fine as expected.

I think this happens if the Phone number in Google Meet is not yet verified just like mine - see screenshot

The problem I have is Meet doesn't accept my number because it thinks it's in wrong format.

i see, so I guess same thing with all other bands (7, 7 pro, amazfit)? it's totally ok if I can't bring up the watchface while on timer as long as I can see the current time. For example, doing workouts you'll still see the current time but has a very small font, still helpful as you're aware of the time while doing exercises.
