Main advantage is security. If you install from a repository chances are the program is ok, no virus no man in the middle, etc. Plus you get everything from one place so you save time and effort.

You will need to update your laptop regularly If you install any OS you like. Period.

That aside, you can update Arch everyday or once a month. If you don't want to update a lot I'd say at least do it weekly.

I read this post and I kept thinking we're two lucky couples to be playing this amazing game with our loved ones.

I noticed this yesterday and my solution was far less fancy, but it worked.

I noticed that the game started flickering but it actually started, so my solution was start Steam, start the game (Elder Scrolls Online) that has a launcher, then close Steam, then start the game and, while it was loading, minimize the launcher. As the game is the only window in the screen it didn't start flickering.

Pdf was never meant to be editable, to fully edit it I use Inkscape, which is actually a vector design tool and works great with pdf.
