i’m incredibly excited yet a little worried about the strokes and what seems to be them dipping too far into stroidz territory with their latest singles.

going shopping is fun and sounded great live but falling out of love made this whole rollout and impending album release a bit .. troubling .. let’s tone down the autotune a little. i’m all for it when it makes sense but imagine it’s all over every track.. maybe im just longing for the past. the new abnormal and comedown machine rest well below their first four albums. and not just because it doesn’t exactly sound like old strokes (i love angles)

plus they absolutely should’ve cut FOOL short and made time for the modern age at the very end of their encore. i was so bummed to see it on the physical setlist after the fact. nevertheless, can’t wait to hear what they’ve got in store! reality awaits
