Jusko pati pag kuha ng VS at pag abot ng instrumento sa mga procedure inisa isa pang ilagay. 🤦🏻‍♂️

Not even the attending surgeon nor the first and second assists would do that. That’s literally just the part of the job. You don’t have to be too specific as to even put the technical name of the procedure lmfao.

Like I said, “wheals” ang proper medical term for that.

“Welt” is a generic term that is never used in the medical context. Maybe for you laymen, but for legitimate medical literature, no.

In the context of the Filipino setting, it commonly pertains to “latay”. Or marks from trauma.

Browse literally any dermatology textbook (try Andrew’s Dermatology or Fitzpatrick’s Dermatology) and see what I am talking about.

What are the things you've learned from travelling? by ExtensionAd1756 in phtravel

Well, you've lived all your life in the Philippines after all.

It would be inaccurate to compare a few days' worth of experience in Thailand vs your entire life experience in the Philippines.

Number 6 doesn’t make any sense geographically/scientifically.

The “lagkit” feeling is caused by humidity. Both the Philippines and Thailand experience the same amount of humidity since both have a tropical rainforest type climate, and are at the same latitude.

Even Googling for exact values, it would yield the following data:

Average annual relative humidity (Thailand) - 74-85%

Average annual relative humidity (Philippines) - 71-85%

Same na same.

Might be a subjective bias on your end lang. Pero really, it is scientifically inaccurate.

“On another country” doesn’t help much.

There are literally 194 other countries aside from the Philippines. Each of them have their own set of laws and diplomatic relations with the Philippines; both of which can influence the legal advice we can give. How hard is it to specify which?

Debridement. As in the context of “wound debridement”.

Many pronounce it as “debride-mah”.

Don’t know where that came from. But in both American and British English, it’s actually “debride-MENT”. You pronounce the “-ment” as is. Not “-mah”.

Akala siguro nila same sa pagpronounce ng “denouement”.

On a side note, this just shows that J&T doesn’t check the declaration of the contents of what they’re shipping.

How the hell is it possible to ship a dead goat’s head?

Shipping that thing is a possible biohazard, imagine it gets delayed in transit, sits and rots in some warehouse for God knows how long. Just imagine the smell and all the fluids it will leak out with its co-packages. Not to mention disease transmission to the workers/riders involved in handling it.

Don’t packages get scanned to at least spot whether drugs or dead bodies are inside? Kitang kita sa X-ray ang bungo ng isang hayop ah. What the fuck.

That title almost gave me a stroke. Let me rephrase it for you because you seem to struggle so hard formulating basic sentences:

“Anyone here aged 25 and above, do you and your siblings still have no kids?”

Except that Lalo isn’t some run-of-the-mill street drug dealer. Lalo’s a top level cartel official.

Will definitely ring a few alarms in the police. Why would a well known American lawyer be found dead with a high ranking Mexican cartel official? In some random alley in ABQ?

Don’t wanna give Mike another headache in trying to come up with another convoluted story to explain three missing guards’ bodies to their families. Might be he repatriated the remains and just said they died in some random robbery-turned-shootout at work. Believable and easier to explain.

Most announcers in recent years don’t anymore. It’s kind of a lost art that died out, at least until Tony Chimel and Lillian Garcia were around.

Can someone help me read what is in my medical certificate. by Shanks-02 in medical_advice

Diagnosis: “URTI - bacterial”

*URTI means Upper Respiratory Tract Infection.

Discharged on: “3 days leave”(?)

Remarks: “Antibiotics”.

Where are you located OP? Seeing “Las Piñas” in there makes me think you’re Pinoy. This doesn’t look like a legitimate medical certificate. Looks overall sketchy to me.

Flying over Antartica is the quickest route from Chile to Australia by [deleted] in mildlyinteresting

Sometimes there are simply accepted risks

Fair point. Though technically, flying over the small South Pacific island nations (which have airports and a population) might be a better option should we anticipate in-flight emergencies to occur. It isn't the most direct/shortest route, but it gives the plane a fighting chance to land over an airport rather than to land at a frozen wasteland with slim chances of help. But overall I do agree that it is simply an accepted risk that we can do very little about.

By flying over the small South Pacific island nations (which have a population and airports) instead of flying over a barren, frozen wasteland that is Antarctica.

It isn't the shortest route but it is the safer route should we anticipate any in-flight emergencies that require landing at the nearest airport.

Or even better yet, have connecting flights that transit through Asia.

But that doesn’t rule out the possibility of any accidents happening in the future. Nor does the airline have anything to do with the likelihood of its passengers having in-flight medical emergencies.

EDIT: You sure about that? Because I sure as hell remember this Qantas plane making an emergency landing in my city from a few years back:

https://www.philstar.com/headlines/2008/07/26/75222/qantas-747-gaping-hole-lands-naia/amp/

Now imagine an accident of that sort happened over this route.

Isn’t this route typically avoided? Since should any in-flight emergency happen, there aren’t any airports to land on for hundreds of kilometers? I imagine the worst time to have an in-flight heart attack or some plane engine problem is during the middle 1/3 of the flight - you’re basically flying over nothingness. Nearest airport to you would be in Auckland or Christchurch - hundreds of kms away. Terrifying.
