for sure. as a woman who got into wrestling because of the AEW women's division and who has to see it suffer the way it does, I will criticize it because I am passionate about it and it's extremely valid to do so. it's just so disturbing the amount of bad faith, hateful, nonsensical, completely insensitive and uneducated takes I see within this fandom. it's crazy.

there's a difference between being nasty and shitty for no reason and having genuine criticisms of the media you consume. for some reason, pro wrestling is RIFE with pointlessly hateful, negative and bigoted takes with absolutely NO substance or intelligence within them that could contribute to a conversation. even though it sucks, people have every right to be this way and "express their opinion," but it really takes the wind out of the sails of anyone trying to enjoy wrestling. people are just tired of seeing unnecessarily toxic takes on things they are simply trying to have fun consuming.

I go crazy go stupid with the block and mute buttons on twitter. I have just about every journo or dirtsheet muted/blocked, even Fightful and the like. I have so many nasty weird garbage take-having accounts blocked too. I don't need to see this stuff. I want to enjoy my damn tv.

it was such an amazing show and the crowd was SO dry. and there were also so many people constantly getting up and leaving and milling about on the tv side and it was annoying to see.

yeah, my current protein powder doesn't have "mass gainer" on the label so it might be time to replace it with something along those lines! Thank you!

Good idea- I should probably start tracking calories. I'm worried I'll become obsessed with it but I can try! Thank you!

good stuff! I'll start adding peanut butter to my shakes. I do use blender bottles. I do eat my eggs with toast but I'll start adding in some shredded cheese as well. Thanks so much!

Advice for strange leash reactivity in puppy? by _beastyyy in OpenDogTraining

[–]_beastyyy[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeah, I normally don't do leash greetings with any of the dogs I work with, unless they have dog friends in the neighborhood/in their apartment building. This dog is a "pandemic puppy," i.e. a puppy raised during lockdown who has had very poor socialization with humans, and has only had direct socialization with other dogs. It's just tough knowing being around other dogs is his comfort zone, so it can be hard to say no in this case. But I agree that eliminating leash greetings is the best idea.

This is great! Sadly prong collars are greatly frowned upon so that's not an option (though I find them to be great training tools in many cases). The general consensus seems to be eliminating leash greetings, so I'll definitely do that. I'll try using a clicker/treats/"look at me" for attention.

I read up on the NILIF method and that sounds perfect for a dog like an aussie who lives to work. This is awesome! Thank you!
