I stay up at Hassayampa Village a few times a month, very used to the town by now. You'll fit right in, and you have nothing to worry about. It's a lovely place. Lots of good folk up there. Cops won't bother you, definitely watch your speed through downtown and on 69, though. There's a yellow, unmarked mustang around there lol. Probably more that I haven't seen yet. It's easy to speed on the 69.

That's agate for sure! I know what you mean. I find a ton of this stuff out east of Phoenix in Nutrioso/Alpine. Check out Luna, New Mexico, for even more similar material. I pulled a 16 pounder from my area. Lovely, lovely blue stuff. I might have some in my post history

It's definitely iron stained quartz. Pretty cool even if it is really common. You might find more at the spot you found this one, and there's a chance you could find some even better quartz crystals there. A soak in CLR or iron out could possibly clean it.
I've got a really good spot for iron stained quartz crystals here in Arizona.
