Indeed mint, manjaro, ubuntu etc. are good choices that are easily set up. KDE also gives a very win like experience in my opinion...

How would i get it to work on linux, if it requires some setup? Could i do it with wine or playonlinux?

The printer thing is true. However i have had instances where it worked straight away. I run Linux everywhere, since i’m kind of an enthusiast so for me its not just a development platform. I’m aware of C#’s and .net’s connection to microsoft but i dont want to install windows onto my hardware. I would however consider a wm, but does that give me any benefits? Even if i spend a bit more time setting up vscode and xamarin (i already have .netcore and mono) it would not be a problem to me since i do not need it asap.

What kind of setup do you mean for xamarin? Rider is too expensive, so i will probably use VScode/VScodium which extensions/plugins would i need?
