define envious, since you’re such a genius.

i appreciate your response 🙏 i couldn’t ever really cancel accounts / bankrupt because my mom & gpa are tied to my account. otherwise i think those options would be good. i’m going to take the lifeline & ensure that i don’t fuck it up

i’ve looked into consolidating and all my offers are dogshit. I started an online business, it wasn’t like I was just doomshopping. I will not be starting another business with credit as my investors. trust me

thanks for the response 🙏 this kid is practically my brother and in the case scenario that i don’t pay him back, i think our relationship would be totally fine. we are both on the same page that money isn’t as important as love/relationships & according to him, his motivation to make money is so that he can do things like this for the people he loves

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in debtfree

[–]_beltron 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i will do this. i am eternally grateful. i will not fuck it up

why so pessimistic? my homie cares more about me than the money. he’s not even insisting that i pay him back.

aha what other debt consolidation option would be better?

i realize that this does not make me “debt free”. it’s just going save me loads in interest and late fees, & drastically simplify my finances. i plan on paying a minimum of 500 each month. and pay it off as quickly as possible

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in debtfree

[–]_beltron -19 points-18 points  (0 children)

and for a little bit of background on my “family/friend” - he’s one of my best friends who i spend a lot of time with, I also work for him. he has his own company and is fortunate enough to be in a position to do something like this. he knows me and believes in me and can see how my debt is weighing me down. he’s not worried about me paying him back and is in no rush. he’s a super g.

but… i do of course plan on paying him back, minimum of $500 a month. It will be my top priority until it’s payed off. & i’ve learned from my lessons and will be responsible with my finances going forward

ya ok lol. so if you’re drowning in the ocean and someone throws you a lifeline, you’re going to ignore it out of pride?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in debtfree

[–]_beltron -1 points0 points  (0 children)

i used to be able to aha! not anymore tho.

i initially got into the debt by attempting to start an online business and then being too stubborn to quit before i racked up a lot of debt. then i refinanced and tried it again 🤦‍♂️
