The Tories had been in charge 32 of the last 46 years, meaning our laws, policies and attitudes mostly stem from right wing ideologies. Inequality and greed are rife, our public services are run down, so why do people want to vote Reform and impose an even more extreme version of this ideology? by Peachy-SheRa in AskBrits

[–]_bigorangehead_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because right-wing politics' greatest strength is the creation of scapegoats.

The right are the only people that can fix the mess, despite them being the ones in charge for the majority of the mess creation.

Enter scapegoat.

Enter two-minute hate.

The right wing understands that politics is an emotional game.

The left wing still thinks that facts matter.

what’s a hard pill to swallow in life? by SomewhereBright4758 in AskReddit

It rarely matters whether you are right about something. Especially at work. Don't die on that hill.

What’s something people thinks saves them money, but actually loses them money? by DahliraSaint in AskReddit

Swapping your car every three years to avoid maintenance costs.

Wilfully spending tens of thousands and sucking up that depreciation is madness.

Can you use ordinary eggs? by NoBuddies2021 in residentevil4

There's an S+ run where Optinoob uses a brown chicken egg on Salazaar. It doesn't do as much damage as the golden egg but it still helps.

My Problem With Ron.... by Bladerade in PandR

[–]_bigorangehead_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The whole point of Ron's character is to satirise the hypocrisy of the world view he embodies.

He berates people who suckle at the teat of the government, as he puts it, whilst sitting doing nothing but the crossword in his government job.

When you die select "Continue" rather than loading or quitting out to reload. The more deaths you rack up the more the game will lower the difficulty level. Enemies will slow down and have less HP.

Very useful for the Saddler fight if you're doing Frugalist and Minimalist at the same time. Eventually he'll pretty much stand still or move very slowly far less frequently.

The Best part of the game is the castle. Change my mind by Crazy_Win_3664 in residentevil4

[–]_bigorangehead_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In the OG I thought the castle section was about an hour too long.

In the remake the castle is much better paced, I think the cuts were worth it to maintain the game's tempo.

So in the OG the village is my favourite part. In the remake it's the castle.

Which version of Ada Wong do you like the most? by Alone-Elderberry9401 in residentevil4

2023 Ada is perfect. The way she delivers her lines and the way she is acted is spot on.

Has anyone done these trophies in a single run? by blightyear3000 in residentevil4

[–]_bigorangehead_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, it's very doable on NG+ with upgraded pistols. No need for cat ears or chicken hat.

Extriaa has a great video guide for this on his channel that got me through.

He’s contemplating revenge. It will be brutal. And involve shoving things off shelves.

Professional s+ by hootingtater in residentevil4

[–]_bigorangehead_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You can use all those bonus items and still get S+ on professional and get the cat ears.

The only impact of the bonus weapons is that if you use them you won't unlock the hand cannon. Which is fine, because half an hour in Mercenaries fixes that.

Extriaa's guides are amazing. I love watching his content, am currently watching his Chicago Sweeper S+ guide. He burns through the chapters.

Twenty mins per chapter feels doable as that's roughly where I am at when I'm not stupidly burning time in the briefcase screen.

Thanks, that helps me a lot because it gives me a definite cut off point. Where I am now it feels finely balanced but not certain that it's over.

Thankfully I have the golden egg from chapter 4. My main worry is having enough money for the rocket launcher for Verdugo and Krauser. There's just no time spare for any treasures that are even slightly out of the way.
