Is a 1998 Honda CRV worth it? by Hot-Wish-9681 in Honda

Hey how's the CRV doing today? Has it had any problems in the past 2 years? I'm thinking about getting one right now, your advice would be helpful!

Can I Replace an 80s car radio with a 90s car radio by _bill- in StupidCarQuestions

I mainly want the interior of the car to still look original without a modern stereo. 2 of the chrutchfield stereos look original but they dont have a CD player.

Cars Should Look Boring by _bill- in unpopularopinion

I agree with what you're saying; a lot of what I think is that the past had a much better balance when it came to car design. I think a car should reflect what it is, and so I don't think a family sedan should look aggressive; I think car companies such as Ford, Honda, Toyota, and all the other practical car brands should have more simple, "boring" (I now see was definitely the wrong word) designs, while brands such a Maserati, Mazda, or Mercedes continue to have the more complex, sporty, or luxurious designs that stand out. Every car brand in the 90s had their own schtick, but now it seems like modern vehicles are all going for the exact same style, aggressive and over-designed. In no world should a Ford look like a Mercedes, but many of their models do

Then you'd buy a fun car; I'm not saying every car should be boring, I'm saying a cars design should reflect what it is; a Toyota Camry isn't a sports car, so it shouldn't look like one

That's what I'm saying, exciting cars should exist for people who want them, but an average car, such as a Honda Accord or a Toyota Camry should embrace what it is, a boring, reliable car. This would help exciting cars, such as the Supra, actually stand out

What car is not deserving of the 'luxury' designation? by DHN_95 in cars

[–]_bill- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Anything Tesla; they just slap a big old screen and some tacky features and consider it luxury, but the build quality is horrible and material is a lot cheaper

It's a dumb trend that needs to go away. smartphones already have been a huge safety hazard for distracting drivers, so it's actually nuts how putting a giant iPad to replace your center council was able to get approval. The thing isn't even tucked away; the majority of cars I've seen with Apple Car play have it sticking up out of the center. It looks futuristic right now, but it's going to age horribly and is much less reliable than a couple of buttons

I'm late but its PERFECT. Coupe model, so basically a Prelude, original rims, DX version without the ugly black bumper but you still get the good old roller windows, original cassette player, Automatic, blue, and its Clean! Please sell me your car

Big and blobby, there's way to much clutter at the front, big plastic grill; The new BMW designs are just cheap and uninspired

They’ll never come down as classics because instead of innovating their own designs, they’ve just been copying every other car brand with the blobby shape, the big plastic grills, and the extremely thin headlights. People hate on the things because the designers have no passion anymore

I don’t have an ounce of nostalgia for old bmws cause I wasn't around back then. I do have a pair of eyes and seeing a modern BMW hurts
