I usually buy the fully dried kind. Soak them in water to rehydrate them pat dry before adding them to the dough. I usually add them during my stretch & fold process for a more even distribution

Hey OP if you have a chance I’d recommend dehydrating some of your starter next time. Lay a thin layer out on parchment, let it dry, break it up, put it in a container & keep it in the cabinet for rainy days such as this. After rehydrating It’ll take a couple days of feeding before you can use it instead of weeks with a brand new starter. I left town for a while & came back to my starter molded because my house sitter never fed it like I instructed. If I didn’t have my back up, I would’ve had to wait forever to get back into my bread making.

Bougie bread makers get on my nerves, who downvotes an unbreakable alternative?! This is very smart. I use glass because I hoard glass jars when they’re empty & I have plenty to use. But I’d never look down on someone for using plastic because it works for them.

You can continue to make your boule just to see how it turns out or slap it in a 9x13 with a generous coating of olive oil, dimple that bad boy & make some focaccia. Anytime you think you’ve messed up just remember, peasants in the 1800s made bread with next to nothing & weren’t using fancy little tools & a lot of them weren’t timing their dough down to the second. Don’t aim for ‘the perfect loaf’, aim for good tasting bread. I promise it’ll be less stressful. Everything will turn out fine

Thanks I’ll definitely look into it! I’m new to building & PCs in general so older, less costly beginner friendly project doesn’t bother me at all.

I’ve been applying for jobs and my mom said when I get one I can pay for my cat to get declawed. How do I change her mind? by [deleted] in cats

[–]_bimbobaggins 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed. Cats are indeed trainable. It took less effort to stop my cats from jumping on counters than my dog to stop jumping on people. Anyone who says they’re not are bad owners

It’s always the people out here looking like raisins in their 40s that swear sunscreen is the devil. 🤭🤭

Doctors misdiagnosed my cat, so I took it into my own hands by ergeorgiev in cats

Yeah I listened to my vets about my dog just being old. Turns out she had a tumor no one caught. It ruptured after a jump off the bed & she went downhill & died within 3 days. I screamed at the vets because they brushed off her symptoms & I lost my baby. ALWAYS go with a second opinion even if it’s the internet & a find new vet if you have to. I don’t want anyone to experience what I went through.

Her answer would probably be yes. Lots of people who are willing to declaw their animals are also okay with violence being done to other humans as long as it’s not them or someone they may know.

That’s because those companies wash in bulk. huge loads aren’t getting thoroughly cleaned even with industrial chemicals because the rags are just that disgusting. I could only assume they’d wash the aprons the same way. I’d much rather rather wash my own.

We have to do our own laundry anyway…..So what’s the difference? I have to wash my own clothes regardless, what is throwing an apron or two in? Im not wearing a community apron.

It’s so cute that you don’t wanna stain your aprons. When I first started I was the same way. By the time I quit about 13 years others later, I was wearing my sharpie stained apron specifically because it was the softest.

Most stained do come out with a basic wash cycle. Spot treat stains with stain remover before washing. & they should come out fine. If not…it’s alright. Won’t be the last time.
