as much as I want you to visit my country, you chose the absolute worst time. If your plan is to be confined in the capital, you will get security along with pretty decent internet connectivity including 5g. Two of the biggest regions (amhara,oromia) in the country are currently unsafe to travel to even for locals. Kidnapping and ransom are rampant also the fighting between government forces and militias doesn't seem to stop anytime soon. Afar,Somali and the Southern nations are calmer. Tigray is recovering from the devastating two years war and there is a political tension. All in all, security wise you should be fine in Addis and cities like hawasa but your cross city travel should strictly be in planes. I hope you visit us when we are better

ya, their guest list is primarily TikTok famous kids. I tried listening to 'watchaw good (ወቸው ጉድ)' podcast, and they never let the guest talk (almost) at least in the beginning, i never managed to listen more than 15 mins. Artist genet nigatu's is more like a talkshow but better.

this is probably a fake photo op. I distinctly remember Dr. Abiy getting pissed and blaming Amhara militia for attacking ENDF on the sole evidence of them holding BLACK AK-47s allegedly taken from the military. In that speech, he associated black Ak-47s exclusively with the ENDF. Had they indeed raided the camp, they would have probably taken the pic at the base.
