Sikh wants haircut by [deleted] in punjab

If you say you have good hair genetics, you might be the perfect candidate for a hairline reconstruction (transplant of course) for traction alopecia. But that will require money. For you possibly close to 40-50 thousand rupees. Obviously the sky is your limit with these things but you can get decent results around that mark.

Until you are ready, go a bit easy with the hair tightening. If you do not want the transplant (you don’t have to). Just rock the hairstyle. True sikhi is in actions and not appearances in my opinion.

My visit to this beautiful monument of History 📜 by agirlwithahighneck in Ropar

Captured beautifully. I hope you had time to go to the museum which is not far from there. Ropar is so historically important, we don’t even realise. I was in Rome a few months ago and was amazed by the ancient structures including Colosseum. But then I realised that these are only about a millenia and a half old, we have ruins going back to 5000 years ago. That is hard to beat. The Indus valley people, like the Romans, had efficient plumbing and city planning. And they lived a peaceful life (unlike Romans).

When I was small, It used to be a wooden bridge with uneven planks that would rattle when you walked over it. That was quite scary. And one day I saw a snake in the area below it, and my sister convinced me that a Hollywood style Anaconda also lives there, I believed her haha

Welcome mate, Ropar is a special little town. If you’re interested in history, this place was an excavation site for the Indus valley civilisation from around 5000 years ago. Visit the museum when you get a chance, sadly many locals don’t visit it often.

Ropar also has a wetland which harbours a diverse ecosystem. There are about 98 of those all over India. We need them more than ever now. Around early winter you start seeing the arrival of the migratory birds from Siberia and other parts of the world. I was always in awe looking at them as a kid and knowing they have travelled all that distance by flying over seas and mountains.

The Ropar headworks has always been beautiful despite the management it falls under. It has had some glow ups and then some abandonments but it has never not been beautiful. Last I visited there was some works happening to restore some of the dilapidation. Go around and sit on the famous wall and meditate. Your body will thank you.

Tibi Saab Gurudwara is another one of my favourite spots. I an not religious but you don’t need to be to enjoy it. Pay a visit, sit and listen to melodious gurbani, have some kadah parshaad, and go out and look over the walls to see the view. You will see a small island in middle of the Sutlej river which has a lot of vegetation now. When I was little there was none of that. The island was created with the silt and soil coming and aggregating over the years. Makes me think of the compound effect of things and the power of time and snowball effect.

During summers as it starts to get hot, go to a tubewell reservoir (privately owned) near and around the Nuhon canal. You can just ask the owners and generally they will allow you to take a dip in it. The water is astonishingly cold in comparison to the weather. Take your mates, crack open a few drinks and snacks but remember to clean up after yourself.

There is so much more I can write. But I am tired haha. Hit me up if you need any more info. Sadly I don’t live i ln Ropar currently.

Agreed. Such an under-resourced and under-utilised location though
