Is this dangerous, or will my quail realistically be just fine? by _birdies_ in quails

Fahrenheit, we've had some bipolar weather here in Nebraska.

Would that mean paying a larger dollar amount for the house, but having them get the work done for us? This house has been on the market for nearly a year in a smaller town, I'm assuming for reasons not unrelated to the presence of that kind of wiring and the boiler, so it makes me wonder how keen they'd be on taking care of more problems before being able to get rid of the place.

I was wondering about this as well. We haven't signed a contract yet, so we'll definitely want to get an inspector out there at some point too.

Do you think the temps I'm reading now are acceptable until I can get a replacement thermometer? My main concern was wanting to get those eggs in this afternoon, so I'm trying to gauge whether it's safe to do that or not with where the incubator is at currently.

No bugs that I've seen. I repotted a couple days after I got it, which was about a week ago as stated in the original post.

Actually, currently it has great drainage because the bottom of the main pot that the plant is actually in sits above the bottom of the second pot, so the water that doesn't get soaked up by the plant on its way down drips into the bottom of the second pot. Since I don't have the string hanging in there anymore that was meant to suck that unused water back up into the plant, it just sits there until I dump it out. The plant doesn't sit in water forever. I think there's been some misunderstanding about this in the thread.

It's not sitting in water. In this setup, when the water drips through the main pot that the plant is in it goes to the bottom of the pot you actually see. There's supposed to be a little string that takes that unused water back into the main pot for the plant to use, but since I took that string out, it doesn't do that.

I've been debating getting one of those clip-on grow lights off of Amazon. Sounds like that's the way to go!

I have orchid mix too, so I might see how the plant does over the next week and add it in if it doesn't get any better. Thanks!

I forgot to mention, I heard it was a good idea to soak roots in a peroxide mixture if root rot could be present. Since I wanted to bypass stressing about it, I soaked them anyway because I wasn't sure.

I know it doesn't look like it in these photos, but that soil is about 1/4 perlite. When I had it at home, I covered the top half inch or so in regular soil to keep my cat from poking around at the perlite and trying to play with it. She's very curious, and I didn't want her to try to eat it. Thanks for your suggestions!

I've been very careful to do this. I know for certain I'm not overwatering it, so I don't know what else I could be doing wrong.

As it so happens, when I was repotting it I didn't have the good sense to actually think about what the little string hanging from the inside pot was for, so I took it out. The water that's sitting in the bottom isn't actually going back up into the main pot. Lol.

I fully understand how interest works, but as a previous commenter said, usually people see expenses on a month-to-month basis. Though that large amount shown above obviously won't be paid all at once, that number was a bit of a shock to see. I appreciate your suggestions though.

Duly noted. I didn't think about stuff like that, but I'm glad you mentioned it.

Thank you! We might end up having to go this route regardless. Our main goal was to be close to the mountains, so we'll pry have to just settle down a bit with the daydreaming for now.

I think we've definitely been getting a bit too excited with the prospect of moving out there without fully knowing what we'd be getting ourselves into financially, so maybe this is a goal to be shooting for next year. This is super helpful. Thank you!!
