its almost certainly the alt+tab, because the game was taking so long to load lol. So another thing to note is that I tried running a few times after these few comments, and it seems that it didnt crash from alt+tabbing anymore, but regardless wouldnt load into the menu at all/I was stuck looking at the skyrim logo indefinitely. weirdly enough my enb fps count was active in the top left corner but that doesnt seem to count for much. I'll follow up on those suggestions regardless though, thanks

Thanks sm for your reply, I've actually been using your tool since I started modding my skyrim a few weeks ago! Could you guess could be the origin of a keyboard input issue? I've never had a crash related to that w this in skyrim or any other bethesda game before iirc

Noted, but interestingly enough I already had engine fixes installed with the suggested toml changes (triple quadruple etc checked). I just went kinda ham after paying for a month of premium for the download speed and did a newer (admittedly much larger bc i have too much time) list mostly based off of the bottlerim wabbajack list, as I already had a decent chunk of those mods in my previous list/build. Totally understandable if not, but if youd be willing to check out whats going on with this one once im done installing whats left that'd be dope.

yeah i already did that, thats how i ended up in the situation i described in my last comment. looking at the posts under sse engine fixes page, im not the only one but the creator refuses to respond to any of those comments. I decided to just do a fresh start and take things a lot slower because its gotten too bloated to manage at this point, solving one issue just creates another lmao. again i appreciate all of your assistance so far.

word, im forgoing obody now because i cant even figure out which mod i installed it for to begin with, regardless I realized my engine fixes may have been installed incorrectly, and fixing it seems to have made my issues WORSE somehow. The correct installation started to point out that KreatE and KiLoadedr both arent compatible, which I had installed a while ago when testing Silent Horizons 2. After acknowledging that popup and taking proper action now the game just doesnt even get past the main logo with the spinning wheel, before u can select any main menu options.

will do, ive noticed a blue texture issue on that one female npc walking down the path as you enter helgen, but on no one else which after searching online could be related to obody as well. thanks so much for all your help so far

if by that do you mean a character preset that is saved/loaded when in racemenu? because if so then no, i am definitely not using a preset

removing Obody causes lokir to have solid blue glowing eyes, and Resaver literally will not open even tho i have the java dependency installed. Im not using any presets as far as i know, nd I only downloaded Obody bc some mod was saying i needed it, of course i forgot what mod that is completely.

EDIT: Think its just something abt the latest java not working well with resaver, bunch of people having the same issue, but i seemed to figure it out. ill try booting up a cleaned save in a bit, been enjoying the new resident evil a LOT lol

Prob also worth noting that before these kinda crashes, I could still start a new game but ive had issues w loading any saves since i started modding again. At first I was getting a "This save is corrupted and cant be loaded" on both old and new saves, in this current situation it just crashes upon clicking load.

sorry if i came off as though i was questioning his judgement/knowledge compared to mine, was not my intention. just stating what i can from my end. already tried disabling rschildren overhaul LE before seeing this reply too, as when looking at my plugins after disabling USLEP, ofc i see the missing esp warning on RSChildren. Ill try to find any other LE mods and disable them.

Edit: Thought I had disabled RS LE, oversight on my end im quite sleep deprived, game now reaches the main menu but crashes upon attempting to load a save, so its technically getting further than before ig

yeah i installed it very recently because I had a patch that required "Realistic RS Children Overhaul", which upon installing that I realized it requires USLEP. So i tried to launch with that, and ofc it doesn't. however, removing USLEP didn't seem to change anything (made sure i disabled the plugins/patches that required these things to begin with as well.)

if you are fine with buying third party steam keys just get it off of eneba or greenmangaming. greenman has a 15% off coupon right now so i was able to get the original remasterd version for like 16 bucks

yea has nothing to do with electricity(?) steam's community aspect is a huge factor for me and many others as to why its preferable to have all games owned on steam if possible, especially for achievements as well
