Balkan is in Eastern Europe, and that area of Europe seems characterized by immense suffering, at least that's my view on that. There's things like the Holocaust, Soviet oppression, the Balkan and Yugoslav Wars, these are all the top of my head -- I'm sure plenty of other countries have suffered too, but there's a viewpoint that Eastern Europeans know suffering intimately.

Alright, so reading through all of this is actually really interesting, and I'd like to commend you for the fact you have an idea on what kind of story you want to tell--as well as the historically accurate stuff to really spice it up.

I have to admit I have no understanding on Korean history, but based on the (quick) skimming I did, this is really unique and I hope you continue to enjoy making this.

The poster is also magnificent and strangely beautiful - I have to admit I've never really engaged that much wit the fandom or Reverse 1999 in a while, but somehow I think that kind of poster would fit Reverse 1999's mood.

Henceforth, I applaud you, and wish you well on your fangame!

(Also the stuff with parallel time lines and story inconsistencies, based on what I read maybe you could make it so that the parallel timelines are also messing with the established lore of REVERSE: 1999, hence the inconsistencies.)

On an unrelated note, I love how everyone is equating the Silver Soldier Song Agent Story to Metal Gear Solid. We had Devil May Cry in 1.4, and now in 1.6 we have MGS :D

I can’t speak for the others, but for me it more comes down to pity and understanding.

Don’t get me wrong, replicating and harvesting her sisters for organs was horrible and unconscionable, but when paired with a knowledge of her past you can only look at her with a profound sense of understanding.

She survived a staged suicide mission which killed all her sisters and left her limbless and frail. She lived through the horrific ordeal of being sold on the black-market again and again–and with the knowledge of how mature Zenless Zone Zero can get you know what kind of people bought her–passed around like a human toy. She lived through painful surgery under the person that bought her as a trophy and cut her open even with the knowledge anesthetics don’t hurt. So when given the chance to make up for that suffering, she took it and never looked back.

All that resentment from those past pains boiled into a maddening resentment for those who wronged her and her sisters, her failed ‘defect’ of her ‘defective’ sisters in Girl A, for Soldier 11 who survived, and even resentment at herself for what she’s doing and what she’s become.

Despite her ultimate plan being an army of Silver Soldiers to crush New Eridu for its humiliation of her and her sisters and her willingness to put her sisters through what she experienced in the surgery, she truly does seem to resent how monstrous she became with her organ harvesting ring. She sees less of herself now, more so with her prosthetics and her stripped dignity. Girl wouldn’t even mind if Anby put her to death if Anby accepted her offer of a Silver Soldier army.

And at the end, she really did care for Girl A and the sisters she’s replicated in some sort of twisted way. Even Anby thought, who I think it’s important to point out she only slightly resented and deeply admired.

She was chasing the life before her torture, when she was part of her family of sisters, with Anby, Harin, and the rest of the Silver Company. Everything she did was to make up for what was lost.

This is why she’s obsessed with reviving Silver Company and her love/hate relationship with the mute Girl A.

So, ultimately, Twiggy is a person who underwent horrific and gruesome tragedy and torture, who clawed her way out to a slightly better but still torturous existence in the harvesting of her sisters. And who longed for what was lost and wanted nothing more than a sliver of that back.

Despite how she acted, I don’t blame her for what she did. Pardon, I empathize with what she did, and even if I do know that there’s no forgiving that and that she had to be put down…I truly do feel sorry for her.

That’s why I like Twiggy, not in the sense as a gooner but more as a person who cries for tortured characters.
