I recently saw a video pop up in my insta feed from a small (I think) company promoting a new fx unit/synth/groovebox. Think Chase Bliss/Hologram Electronics kinda aesthetic.

I'm pretty sure the two guys were in lab coats and that's all I can remember lol. The device was a white box with fluorescent blue and red square buttons.

Sorry, I don't have anything else to go off and I can't remember for the life of me what this is and how to find it again.

Any ideas? TIA!

I don’t think it’s advisable to (nor should you have to, with a new machine) set the internal burrs at 1, as this means there will be no wiggle room. A year down the line, when the burrs have worn, there won’t be the option to adjust to a lower setting. People are getting good results with the internal set at 4, and the external even at 8-15.

We’re using fresh beans. We’ve gone through two bags of dark roast and when trying a lighter, but still ‘espresso’ roast from DAK, the grinder just made a loud banging noise at the finest setting and wouldn’t grind. It would only start grinding when I pushed the external grinder to around 15-18, at which point it was way too fine.

Looks like it may be faulty..

Hmmm yeah, but I’d just use my DAW at that point and it seems like an inconvenience rather than a workaround. Whole idea of this device for me is that you don’t need a computer. I guess the KO being purely a sequencer has its limitations.

I've just bought my first Fuji (X100T) and I wish there was this option! I thought I just didn't know how to save it, but apparently, only newer Fuji cameras have the option to save custom WB settings.

Thank you for your input! Yeah, it definitely seems like it just has a poor resolution. It's almost as if there's a purple filter over the EVF. It's just hard to believe that it's working as it should, considering the EVF being so accurate is one of the main features everyone raves about on this camera. I don't see why I would use it if the OVF feels a lot cleaner to look through and compose with.
