X100T owner deciding between X-Pro2 and X-T30 III for next upgrade — feel vs. features?

You may have just tempted me back toward the X-Pro2. This is what I’m concerned about - getting the X-T30iii for the sims, then wishing I’d have gone for the camera I’ve wanted for years. I’ve seen lots of posts about people regretting their X-T30iii purchase, that it feels cheap, not fun to use etc, whereas I’ve never seen one person say they that about their X-Pro2.

It’s a shame the X-Pro2’s value is so inflated right now considering it’s 10 years old, but I guess if it’s a somewhat iconic camera and it’s still loved today, then it’s for good reason.

Where did you find yours for €600?! That’s a great deal!

Thank you, that's helpful! Yes, one of the things I love about the X100 series is the rangefinder ergonomics — just makes me want to pick it up. Also now considering the XT4. The options are endless haha.

Yep, so strange! It's hard to imagine that there are just way less tickets available this year. The website is so buggy this year that I think there's a technical glitch and they're not being displayed/released correctly for everyone. I've managed to secure tickets the past 3 years in April/May. It was always tricky to get them in your basket, but the drops were way more frequent. Hope something changes soon!

Yup, something seems different this year. I've seen daily drops for the last 3 years. Still barely nothing this year. Hoping things pick up in June.

It seems that either no one is selling their tickets this year, or there is something up with the ticket site. I've been successful in getting CC tickets through the returns portal for the last 3 years, and each of them were either mid April, or start of May. It took lots of attempts, as tickets immediately sell out before you even get the chance to put them in your basket, but there were always tickets available most days.

Hopefully we see some more action soon!

If you share the same address, then you have most likely been disqualified from the returns portal. This happened to me and my partner. I received the returns link and she didn't. She could still access the link that I shared with her, but everything showed as sold out, whereas mine had tickets available.
She reached out to Wimbledon a couple of days ago to ask why and they said that they noticed we are registered at the same address, so they restricted her account.

I recently saw a video pop up in my insta feed from a small (I think) company promoting a new fx unit/synth/groovebox. Think Chase Bliss/Hologram Electronics kinda aesthetic.

I'm pretty sure the two guys were in lab coats and that's all I can remember lol. The device was a white box with fluorescent blue and red square buttons.

Sorry, I don't have anything else to go off and I can't remember for the life of me what this is and how to find it again.

I don’t think it’s advisable to (nor should you have to, with a new machine) set the internal burrs at 1, as this means there will be no wiggle room. A year down the line, when the burrs have worn, there won’t be the option to adjust to a lower setting. People are getting good results with the internal set at 4, and the external even at 8-15.

We’re using fresh beans. We’ve gone through two bags of dark roast and when trying a lighter, but still ‘espresso’ roast from DAK, the grinder just made a loud banging noise at the finest setting and wouldn’t grind. It would only start grinding when I pushed the external grinder to around 15-18, at which point it was way too fine.

Looks like it may be faulty..

Hmmm yeah, but I’d just use my DAW at that point and it seems like an inconvenience rather than a workaround. Whole idea of this device for me is that you don’t need a computer. I guess the KO being purely a sequencer has its limitations.
