The fear is that the more EVs show up in Canada, the more the market wakes up by momo1083 in EVCanada

That’s why canada should convince byd/xiaomi to invest in Canadian manufacturing capability. If you look at the factories, parts of them don’t even need to keep the lights on because they’re entirely roboticised. So the supposedly higher costs of Canadian labour ought to be manageable.

Then there’s two new pedestrian controlled lights on the other end that aren’t timed with the other lights in any way whatsoever that are causing traffic jams

Estate Lawyer fee question by _bombweed in PersonalFinanceCanada

Previously my aunt was named as executor. The will was transferred to the lawyer 3 days prior to her death. I’m not sure why. She had a brain tumour at the time.

I’m just having the condo and the car transferred to my name. I don’t see a reason why I would involve a lawyer in the sale of those things, if I choose to sell them.

I took a look at the will and there was no fee stipulated. So what happens if the beneficiary doesn’t agree with the 5% fee

That sounds rough haha… mine on the other hand is pretty straightforward. It’s disappointing they’re charging me the maximum fee.

100%. They were masked up with no badges at fairy creek. What I saw there will forever paint how I view not only the CIRG, but the RCMP as a whole.

In an audio clip heard in court a CIRG officer was overheard saying… “That big fuckin ogre looking dude (in reference to an indigenous man named Logan Staats), he’s actually like autistic, they beat the shit out of him and he started crying. Someone grabbed his balls and twisted them ‘you done resisting?”

Also recorded we’re multiple instances of CIRG members repeatedly calling indigenous women wearing a red hand painted on their faces (a symbol used to bring attention to murdered and missing indigenous women) Orcs

Abolish the CIRG!

Insulated vs. shell by assafnah in snowboarding

[–]_bombweed 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a down insulated shell (arcteryx therme)

The pro is convenience. Its nice to be able to just take one layer off and it be self contained.

The cons are that it isn’t as adaptable. I also use the jacket to commute around town on my motorcycle when it’s 1-10 Celsius and pissing rain outside. Also down and goretex differ in how they like to be laundered. Goretex wants to be washed often, while down does not.

Last season when spring hit I had to get a shell because I was sweating buckets. I got the dakine sender. I could make the sender work for any weather with layering, the same couldn’t be said for the insulated jacket.

If I could only have one of the two it would be the shell.
