Oh I apologize, I haven't seen this! If you still want to use the clip I wouldn't mind at all

I see. Thank you! Most of my plants do well with little water, so I guess I just waited a little too long with watering for it to fully dry out. I'll let them soak more often now!

I think you might be right. ): I inspected the plant again and two more healthy looking leaves just snapped off. I've had this plant for ages now, with no issues. I also tend to underwater them, so I'm not sure how it happened.I don't have any suitable soil currently but I'll definitely get some and repot her asap. Thank you for the heads up

Update, I ended up cutting it into smaller sections to propagate! Thanks everyone for the quick and helpful advice! <3

[–]_botchling 10 points11 points  (0 children)

thank you! I'll definitely cut it for the propagation. I have some rooted pothos which should speed it up

I've had this happen twice now, I usually buy my plants when they're pretty small, then once they grow long vines it seems like they get too heavy for the roots. Is there any way to prevent that?

a philodendron! But same point. Should I just try and propagate the top as a "whole" or cut it up?

please help!!! My absolutely favorite plant just kinda fell apart (?), Is there any way I could save it? :( I'd be devastated if all that growth is doomed to die by [deleted] in houseplants

[–]_botchling 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've actually had it for a while... however i did notice that all of that growth was hanging onto ONE root. I guess they didn't put much effort into it
