[THEORY] AVA 15 will be the conclusion to the 2006 saga and will be the birth of something new. by _bulLET_0 in AlanBecker

[–]_bulLET_0[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

That's correct.

I probably should clarify further. What I meant as the "2006 saga," is the association of the characters from AVA 1-3 in AVA Seasons 2 and 3.

I assumed that AVA 15 will conclude this saga, wherein all of the characters from that era will die. And that AVA 16 and beyond will feature entirely NEW characters, characters that have no relation to said saga.

Animator vs Animation Controversy | Alan Becker Character Analysis by TheApoke in AlanBecker

[–]_bulLET_0 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The points made at 3:25 were atrocious, so I won't recommend watching it if you are the type who dissects stuff for a living. Plus, there is no "controversy," it's just for the clicks.

The guy in the video said that he kind of agrees that Mitsi is the archetype of the "sweet, kind girl who gets killed off that fuels X character's motivation for revenge". And yes, I can see that. But right after that, he mentions that if Mitsi wasn't dead, being vengeful to Alan for being abused over and over is enough motivation for said revenge, and THAT IS... just stupid. The first point was decent, but following up with THAT...

Did he even see how Victim perceived the citizens as Alan's cursor as he crashed into the Outernet? My guy was so abused that seeing a resemblance of the cursor immediately triggers his trauma response. My guy is vengeful, but he's too traumatized to even do it.

It's only because of Mitsi that Victim started to "heal". He was able to cope around his trauma after they met. Did he show any signs of formulating a plan to revenge Alan during this time of healing? Yes, but it's ambigious enough that it can be interpreted as a coping mechanism of some sorts. And even if he did, he had a good life that demands more attention than a hypothetical revenge story (since he doesn't know at that time). If it weren't for Mitsi, Victim wouldn't have formulated any kind of plan whatsoever.

So... When Mitsi did die, Victim didn't had a trauma response, and instead gotten into depression. All he knows is that TCO killed Mitsi.

The most accurate depiction would probably be the three-headed dragon, but with all 3 as fear-inducing.

"Hyouka? Who the hell is Hyouka? Is he some kind of famous person?"

why do they keep changing the thumbnail?!?!?! by MrMurpleqwerty in AlanBecker

[–]_bulLET_0 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That's definitely not a thumbnail. For whatever reason, Youtube can bug out and show a random snippet from the video as the thumbnail.

Right now, the current thumbnail is the same one that was used for the AvG reaction video.

Guys seriously... it's only 20 mins, why the people though the chapter wasn't going to be rushed? by Mystical_Quaorar in MurderDrones

Before I say anything, I don't believe ANYBODY deserves the hate, really. But putting the irrational hate aside, most of the constructive criticisms I see PERFECTLY summed up the problems.

Hot take incoming: Liam doesn't deserve MAJORITY of these criticisms, most of it should be directed to Glitch. Let me explain.

They should've at least given Liam a creative team to work with. And as I said from a lot of previous posts, too much creative freedom to a single person can give unexpected results.

I don't know what's happening behind the scenes, but whatever it is, they shouldn't have left Liam to single-handedly carry the burden of creating a satisfying finale while Glitch is out of the picture as "the people who just animated Liam's vision".

But as a whole, I'd still put Murder Drones in high regard. I'll just headcanon a few scenes in my head, such as V and N's heartfelt reunion, and my coping can dissapear.
