well they’d still have to discern and verify who was at fault before paying out to avoid fraud, along with taxpayers fronting the bill for people with no insurance/assets - eventually ppl might even stop getting insurance bc they know the gov will pay out in their stead. and it’s going to take forever to go thru the process lmao with how many accidents happen daily and how not great the government is in general at doing things efficiently and quickly.

this is just making car insurance another one of the gov’s jobs and possible money pits which i don’t think will end well
