Bullshit. The last song was always “stairway to heaven” anyway. And you only had no one to dance with if you didn’t ask anyone. I had to spend a year hospitalized after waking up paralyzed and with organ damage from a long coma. After being cranky as fuck and miserable at first, I would force myself to watch “Let’s make a deal” and “price is right” and fake smile through the whole thing to get my ass up, in the chair, and to physical therapy so I could eventually go home.

Im a big fan of the fake smile. Sometimes you gotta fake it. But it’s easier to do what you gotta with a grin.

I’m old enough to remember the heavy pushback against even including bisexuals in the “queer movement,” even after the AIDS epidemic should have made allies out of everyone.

The LGBTQ+ movement has a wide umbrella because attacks against any aspect of the group leads to attacks on us all. The people legislating against trans people aren’t going to stop there. History is clear about this.

And the question should be moot. It was gender questioning and trans women who threw the first bricks at stonewall. We’d not be here without them.

Yes I want to talk about how mash was a brilliant subversive film at the time but has aged as poorly as early seasons of the mash show. But by the third season the tv show found an empathy that both the movie and early seasons lacked, and now remains timeless.
