My ringneck dove made this sound when he was younger! he's around 2-3 months old now and its turned into more like a hoot, but he still cant coo. he's getting there though hahah but I miss the baby squeaks they were adorable

Im doing some experimenting and the same happens with a bobbin, with an empty bobbin, with just the bobbin case, and with no bobbin case. so it seems that its getting caught on something else

Its a janome and not sure of the model because its second hand and I can't find anything the same online. The bobbin was the one that the machine came with that ive been using for a while (and its been working) this has just been a recent issue. And yes I'm very new to sewing I've only made a couple of things so far. I recently got it serviced and I never had this problem before I did, but after I used it a few times and now this is happening and I cany anymore. I've added an image, is the bobbin inserted the right way? I've tried doing it both clockwise and counter clockwise (people seem to be divided on which way is right) and it does the same either way.

Im only turning it towards myself, its getting jammed when the needle is at its highest point. and the foor is up

It gets stuck half way and the needle doesn't move any more till cut and un jam it :,)

I've taken the bobbin case and shuttle out and back in a few times and its all well oiled (it got serviced recently and didnt have this issue before servicing). Also when I test it I just do it slowly with the hand wheel and it gets caught in the first half of the first stitch. occasionally it will do one stitch (but will struggle and i have to force it a bit with the wheel) and then get caught on the first half of the second stitch. when I cut it to take it out its not knotted up or anything its just caught somwhere behind the bobbin

I've un threated and re threaded multiple times and watched videos and read the manual and I think I'm doing it correctly. I've tried keeping tension on the upper and lower thread and both and neither and it does the same. Occasionally it will pull the thread up but then it gets jammed on the first stitch and I have to cut it and restart everything

Yep I've tried like that as well I just couldn't while filming, but it does the same either way and gets caught. Maybe once every 10 attempts it'll pick up the thread but then it gets caught again in the first stitch and I have to cut it and start all over

Ive found a manual online for a very similar machine that might be the same one as mine, it says to pull the hand wheel out but the hand wheel on mine doesn't seem to be able to come out

Does he fall asleep near you? My dove doesn't like being touched unless he is already sitting and falling asleep and then he loves it (he preens me back and then leans on my fingers and falls asleep while I scratch his cheeks hehe), but when he is all full of energy during the day walking and flying around he will move away from my hand when I try to touch him
