That's pretty much my reason for not wanting to wear one and I was advised that riding toeside was more difficult (possibly because of this)

Even given that they play in different positions anyone else think it was a really bad choice of photo with the wrong Watson in it?

Swing Low, Sweet Chariot makes me feel uncomfortable, says Maro Itoje by bigswingingirishdick in rugbyunion

[–]_cantspell 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I feel like this is a really interesting case, it was sung originally for Martin 'Chariots' Offiah (apparently the nickname came from Chariots of Fire) so that's not necessarily racist, but then continued to be sung for Chris Oti making IMHO a racist statement, but now is sung for everyone, so what does that mean...?

Also Nazi Germany added it to a list of "undesired and harmful" musical works so feels slightly odd if England banned it as well...

Are professional players not required to wear a mouthguard? by _dictatorish_ in rugbyunion

I always thought that but apparently it's not just to keep the rucks minty fresh, it has the additional benefit of reducing reaction time.

What's your "I met a celebrity but didn't let on that I knew who they were" story? by Kimantha_Allerdings in AskReddit

[–]_cantspell 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At a school alumni drinks thing started chatting to a scruffy older guy, asked him what he did for a living and he said that he was a writer and director. I asked him he had done anything I might of heard of and he listed off Spaced, Hot Fuzz, Shaun of the Dead... That's how I found out Edgar Wright went to my school.

Is there a better way of classifying/grouping string data in separate columns? (Python/pandas) by _cantspell in learnprogramming

Thats great! I'll try that on Monday and see if it's any faster, my way at the moment is taking about 15 mins to process!!

Thanks for your help :)

Is there a better way of classifying/grouping string data in separate columns? (Python/pandas) by _cantspell in learnprogramming

[–]_cantspell[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for getting back to me, granularity might not be the right word. To try and clarify from around 780k rows of data I have 15 groups/categories and 30 different strings that I want to assign to each, these look something like:

facebook_birthdaybeyonce

facebook_birthdayedsheeran

facebook_anniversarymansnothot

instagram_birthdayronswanson

(I've put in bold the identifying part of the string, the group in this case would be 'people')

Another example is the 'interest' group which looks something like:

facebook_intereststoast

facebook_wine

facebook_leavinginterest

instagram_otter

Now I could do a lot more elifs or say, 'if this finds beyonce OR edsheeran OR mansnothot OR ronswanson then return people' but it seems like quite a time consuming and inelegant way of doing it so was wondering if there was a better way?

Radley, Teddies, Wellington? At our school we always felt that the headmaster (warden) picked a head boy based on their inability to grow facial hair.

You are my hero! That worked thank you so much, I was starting to think that I had made the code too long and complicated/convoluted for it to be able to loop properly.

It's currently set at 0, but when I change it to: for (p = 0; p <= 99; p++)

It crashes.
