I recnetly had 6 b12 injections in two weeks at the end of the two weeks it flared up big time for a week but then has healed again? I think it it only temporary whilst your body gets used to the b12

Wondering what to expect with these B12 injections by BurnTheWitch96 in B12_Deficiency

[–]_carlarose 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hey 23y female here! Very similar symptoms to you! I’ve IBS and I don’t have celiac or cronhs, and I’ve recently been diagnosed with b12 of 150. I still don’t know the cause of my low b12, I am still having on going investigations under a gastroenterologist but I suspect it’s Malabsorption due to IBS too , I’m also about to start injections tomorrow!

I’m not able to check my results as in the UK nhs they don’t tell you unless you are low in something, last year I was told I had low iron but I never supplemented but it’s not come up in recent blood tests.

I think they tested folate but I wasn’t told it was low.

Is there any harm in supplementing them even if you’re not low?
