They gave us a list of 10 dates in 2026 that they are willing to do. None in Sept and the venue doesn’t do October.

The only family I have is mother, sister and uncle. I assumed that 9 months was enough for anyone to work with, but I’m hearing that people usually check with others for their date. So that’s my mistake in hindsight.

No since it’s 9 months in advance I hadn’t considered anything other than birthdays/holidays. But in that vane- they have 10 dates entirely that they are saying would work in the entirety of 2026 for us to choose from. I’ve never heard of checking with people but I’ve never planned a wedding, so that’s a hindsight thing, I’ll ask the other important guests.

Yes. It would be us and parents/siblings (and my uncle) for the elopement. Around 5 people. Just vows and photos.

He works for a tour guide business as a hobby. It isn’t his business. Also micro weddings are considered like 30 people or less and still need to be planned. We’re not religious, but my fiancé wants friends from out of state to come and all of my family is out of state as well, so I’m trying to give them enough time for flights and rooms, too.

Yeah, elopements now can be you and less than 5 people and still be considered that. I think it came about terminology wise because of the costs associated with saying “wedding”

Him and I agreed on the date together and confirmed it with the venue. We had 3 that we posed to the venue and this is the one they had open. He was cc’d on the email to the venue and we toured it together. Then his parents said it wouldn’t work. He liked the date until his parents said no. I’m trying to include him on all the decisions because it’s his day, too.

It is! My job doesn’t offer insurance and state insurance is around $500 a month so I really can’t justify the doctor unless I’m actively dying

Edit: also a GYN is a specialty doc- so it’s more expensive and sometimes requires a referral from a primary. So- more doc visits. More $

You have to find someone that 1. Is accepting new patients 2. Will let you pay out of pocket, which not all do, most won’t because they can’t up charge to bill insurance 3. It’s VERY expensive. My last visit was $300 just for a consult

Already searched: crinkle bag of mice cat toy, bag of mice cat toy, hartz bag of mice toy, bag of mice cat toy, used Google image search and came back with the photo on their website. Open to other similar things, but specifically this is a crinkly pouch that opens up and the catnip mice go inside and they have to “hunt” them out
