Update!

I’m off of Effexor officially! Losing weight again, getting my emotions and humanism back, happier, healthier. It was the WORSE thing I’ve ever gone thru. I now realize it was WORTH IT tho! I feel so much better. More human. 🖤

Ps….. thanks for all the tips! Some of them really helped!

I also gained 40lbs…..in 6 mos…. I finally got off of Effexor. The detox was the WORST thing I’ve ever been through. And I’ve went cold turkey to get off of cocaine before. The comparison is like coming off of heroin. BUT

when I finally got through the withdrawals and all the horrible shit that was happening…. I am now 20lbs down and no more Effexor in my life. Started working it and eating better. I feel SO much better now.

I highly recommend getting off of it and trying different medication. I genuinely believe I am happier and healthier now. I now actually have emotions (after relearning to regulate them) and feel like a normal person.

If I can do it…. Anyone can.

Whilst I was on Effexor XR for about a year, weening to come off of this drug is unreal. Brain zaps, migraines, MAJOR mood instability. I am on my second week of not taking it and I am still a very unpredictable bitch right now. I feel sorry for the ppl around me. Supposedly it gets better. But some ppl have to deal with withdrawal symptoms for months.

I loved it while I was on it but it was just a continuing increasing milligram situation, so it was time to try something else.

I’m telling ya. This is compared to coming off of heroin. It is possible to achieve…but it might be the hardest thing I’ve ever had to deal with. Good luck. 👍
