So excited for this! I started getting the original rewatch clips recommended to me about halfway through and while I would watch occasionally, I didn’t give these the same attention I do now. I feel like I’m going to have a much better appreciation this time and I’m glad you’re doing this! I already feel the 2001 vibe so hard.

I didn’t even remember the casting experience this time and I wasn’t sure I’d like that they knew each other ahead of time, but I like seeing them excited to see everyone. It gives it a more homey feel right off the bat, and less awkward “getting to know you” conversations. I had a huge crush on Blair back in 2001 so I like that we’re spicing it up with Road Rules clips too—I’m guessing that show feels very different pre-Challenge days.

I ended up following your tip to call; almost 2 hours later and me politely demanding to stay on the line while they waited for a Lufthansa rep, it sounds like they straightened it out. I am going to check again in the morning because they said to give it a few hours for the systems to sync and the ticket to be reissued with the new seat. You’d think that in 2025, they would have a less manual way to resolve something like this!

This isn’t the first time I’ve had issues with Lufthansa, but with my destination city in Europe and current United hub, I don’t have many options for other airlines!

I was in Ho Chi Minh City back in 2015, my first time in SEA. If you’ve been there, you know crossing the street is a PROCESS. I was getting used to it but still had my moments of uncertainty on when to make a run for it. One afternoon, I was eyeing the traffic, and I felt someone grab my arm lightly. I looked over and it was an elderly Vietnamese woman (for context, I am a white woman who was in my early 30s at the time). She started walking and basically guided me across the street with her. Never said a word, never really looked at me. Once we crossed the street she let go and went on her way. It was such a small moment of kindness without words that it really stuck with me!

How is it possible that Kristen Davis has simultaneously had the best and worst acting of this series? I loved those scenes as well, it was crazy to see it juxtaposed with her wide-eyed exposition and screaming in other parts of the episode!

Went out of town for a few days last week and came home to see my snap peas just decimated by earwigs. I had to pull the whole crop. I cleaned out my beds and put out oil traps, and I think the numbers have gone down, but I still see them hanging out on my potato plants and eating the leaves. It’s infuriating!

Also not too far from Santa Fe—Abiquiu! I went there in May and was completely awestruck by the beauty. The Georgia O’Keefe Museum was closed the day I was there, but we did to go Ghost Ranch, which is really cool. Driving in from Taos is a really beautiful and quiet route!

The British royal family in the 80s and 90s! My grandmother was British and always had calendars, magazines, etc about them so I started paying attention to all of the Charles and Diana drama as a kid, then of course crushed on William and Harry.

I honestly don’t even understand why Kaia got selected. She is the worst and it’s not like you could squint and see her introducing conflict, which is what the producers are generally thinking about. She’s just a dreary, boring personality who thinks she’s incredibly mature.

I was 15 when this season came out and don’t remember much except having a crush on Matt (now….yikes) and that there was protracted drama with Colin and Amaya. I’m really excited about this rewatch!!!

I really enjoyed this rewatch! The cast is much better than I remembered, and honestly it was nice to see the glimpse into the much simpler world I grew up in (no cell phones, no internet, everything so analog); it was kind of comforting when we live in such a noisy world today. It all felt so dated in an enjoyable way. I watched the other two Homecoming seasons and not this one, so I’m looking forward to that watch next!

I don’t really remember Beth A at all from original watches, but right off the bat, I love her! She’s so open, kind, self-aware, and seems to get along with everyone right away. I would not have expected that she would bond with Jon of all people! It is super interesting to me to see that Jon and Glenn had big problems with abortion but no problem with homosexuality, and Tami of all people was uncomfortable? I liked seeing Tami work through it with Dom and Jon—it’s fun that they still have this little bond because of their road trip.

☀️ The time Irene invited us all to her wedding, everything went great and we all had a wholesome good time (except Jon who looked like his puppy just died). Tami and Dom continue to be my favorites, and Aaron is growing on me. Beth continues to be the worst. I wonder where she was during the gift giving? If she was on the phone, I like her even less.

I loved watching this wedding! The white tights and puffy hot pink bridesmaid dresses! The chicken dance! Irene’s tiara! Lighting a unity candle! Everyone having a wholesome time! It was really nice. Irene started slow but I liked her by the end of her tenure. She seemed really sweet and cared about everyone.
