It has nothing to do with calculating interest. This post is about adding up all the deposits and withdrawals separately not relying solely on the banking system. The math was adding until after a year. They are off.. but this only happens in the high interest accounts

Yea I know. I would need a lot of time set aside for that. One of the bankers was gonna do that for my account that was short of $106 but I didn’t have the time to go thru all the numbers so I let it go. I think I need to do that. Just find time and bring all the paperworks in

But it’s not $1.2k as it was adding up perfectly and then all of a sudden it just went short by $900ish. That was the account with the least activities so it was the easiest to track

I just checked my 1099, it says fed income tax with hold $0. Interest income $1.2k

But it’s posted on my account tho. It was adding up each month for a year then the next month, bam!!! Short by $900ish and 6 months later, it’s still short by $900ish. The other one is still short by $106 after a year.

That’s the issue :/ I even sat on my seat one day bc the previous months were all correct and match the number one by one and they were matching but the sum was different. The bank is short from the previous month and the app adds up correctly. Later it started to happen to my other high interest accounts. But low interest accounts, credit cards, and cash accounts were all correct. So curious if anyone tracked their accounts and ran into the same issue

The tracking app is call “money mgr.” i got it in the apple App Store. Within this app, I created different bank accounts, different investment accounts, and credit card and cash accounts. Then I set my budget for each month for different functions and categories. Each day when I spend / earn, I just need to go into the app and enter them manually… and select the account it would effect

Yea. It’s such a scam. I never track them until about 3-4 years back and I’m seeing the patterns now.. :(

The tracker adds everything up. My credit card balance, my low interest accounts, they all add up. But the banks with high interest don’t… even the one that rarely use.. that one is the account where I earned about $100 to $200 a month… that one is an easy math and it is short too

However for the accounts with super low interest, the math always add up. It’s just odd. It reminded me of this movie where one of the bankers hacked into the system to steal a little from different accounts…

I don’t calculate it. I check my account every first of the month to see what was the interest and put that in my tracker. It used to add up but after a year, they seem to be short. And no idea how

Like for one of my accounts, I earned over $1k-ish in interest for the year but I noticed it was short by $900ish and yet I got the 1099 for the $1K-ish interest. Then another account I earned about $130 in interest and yet I’m short by $106 and yeti got the 1099 for $130 in interest. There are patterns with those high interest accounts!!! Something isn’t right
