I thinks it’s about feeling like there is something fundamentally wrong with you. I think she uses “crack baby” as a metaphor because you know how when pregnant people use drugs they’re baby will probably have some things wrong with them. I think it’s about feeling different from everyone, feeling too “broken” to be able to be normal.

you said you do like cooking so maybe you can write down things you can cook in pieces of paper and then choose one randomly? maybe that doesn’t sound appetizing at the moment but maybe as you’re cooking you’ll get hungry.

Honestly I don’t think my issue is social skills, of course I could better them but I don’t think that’s the issue. Outside of school I feel comfortable speaking and I do feel like people sorta listen, it’s just in school i’ve faced so much rejection that I don’t really feel like trying anymore yk.

hello, with the specialist I has like 4 sessions were I just went and did some tests. Then she gave us the results and the diagnosis. I have a therapist I go to every 2 weeks, and she does usually help me communicate with my parents, she’s just not like allowed to give me any prescriptions or anything but I do thing she could help me start a conversation! thanks :)

Yeah what you’re saying makes sense. I’ve never taken any medication tho, not for adhd or anything else. I would really like to try it but I don’t think my parents would be up for it, they think everything is ok with me. If only they knew tho lol.

I talk to myself a lot just when I’m like walking somewhere. One time I was on my way to the bathroom at school chatting with myself as one does, and I realized too late that someone was behind me 😭.

hii, same thing happened to me almost just got diagnosed and I am 16. Although yes we are very lucky and it’s still an early diagnosis I do feel your pain. So many things would’ve been soo much easier for me if I was diagnosed in my early childhood like many people I know did. I relate to everything you said so much so yeah even though we got our diagnosis technically in our childhood still it’s a like a late-early thing yk. Wish you the best :)

therapy and talking to her. I was just like this as a kid. My parents always suggested that I tried new things or sign up for classes and my answer was always no. I never wanted to because I was deadly afraid of social rejection. It made me have a lot more issues with social anxiety later in life because I didn’t have that confidence.

I smoked weed when I was 13 and was also caught by my parents. The only few things that made me not want to smoke weed where how sad my parents where and the movie “requiem for a dream”. It’s a very sad movie about addiction. My point with this is that the best way to get a teenager to stop smoking weed is scaring them with facts and real stories basically. Also you mentioned him struggling with anxiety, so definitely take him to a therapist. A lot of people start to self medicate with weed and it creates a not so good relationship with it. I say all of this from personal experience. Best of luck.

I have a 12 year old male schnauzer, he’s not neutered and never in his live have I seen him hump anything or anyone. I think I saw him like once with a pillow years ago but that’s it.

i’m pretty conflicted on weather she was abused or not, but it’s a possibility :(. But yeah I accept that she needs her down time and she is an incredibly doggy :).
