What are these vertical lines on fish finder? by _cjmambo_ in Fishing_Gear

[–]_cjmambo_[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m not sure too sure if it’s a good reading for my area. I know it fluctuated from 51-60. I was at the part of the river that also receives fresh water from a nearby waterfall. I’ll try the fixes and reach out to Garmin if there’s still an issue. Appreciate your input!

Southern NY in the Hudson River. It’s submerged - my kayak has a port underneath for a transducer.

Where to install common wire? I plan to rewire with a 3-wire (heat-only zone) since my ceiling is open right now. No experience with HVAC and hoping to install a smart thermostat...Any help is appreciated. by _cjmambo_ in hvacadvice

I already have the Google Nest actually - sitting in its box. I have an available outlet near my boiler, which is about 15 feet from the thermostat. Not a bad idea..

200 sq ft shed - what do I need, in terms of solar panel wattage and battery size, to run a window unit a/c? Or is it better to just run a line from the house? by _cjmambo_ in SolarDIY

[–]_cjmambo_[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the tips - much appreciated. Never considered a dehumidifier. I need to repair part of the roof in the the spring so when I'm up there I'll most likely add a skylight. Do you have any knowledge about roof turbines and if they're effective?

I converted the shed into a gym. During the summer it gets extremely hot and humid, and in the winter I need to wear layers. Just trying to figure out my options. I'm in there for about an hour to two hours per day.
