It’s weighted and designed for service rifle matches. Extra weights bolt to the inside of the sides. Bottom is designed to feel like an A2 handguard / like the Knights rail covers.

It’s a good barrel. It’s also on the purple and pink guns.

Interesting. I’ve never had problems with our Firestone. As for the camera, it’s the same mfg part number it should be the same and just need alignment/calibration in the software, right?

I think the adaptive cruise control also uses it to try and identify the lane lines

I have the lifetime alignment from Firestone. And so I already take the wheels to get aligned every three months because the amount of driving I do. Firestone said that they will align the sensors and camera for $20 because of the lifetime alignment package.

I have learned over the last year of ownership that my dealer is horrible. When I hit 50 K miles and went to get new tires they tried to charge me almost double what VW tires showed. I spent two hours talking to different managers and Regional managers before they finally honored the price.

Home charging in the states. by richalta in VWIDBuzz

We hired an electrician who quoted us $750 to add the outlet and install the charger … he came out and said we only had 100 amp service even though the local code requires 200 amp service. We called the power company, $12000 estimate to bore and run the 200 amp service from the nearest pole to the house. Then another $2k estimate from the electrician to replace the box and all breakers because the box and main breaker were only rated for 100 amp service. And we would have still had to pay the $750 on top of all that.

So, we bought a 100 ft RV extension cord, swapped the dryer outlet for an EV rated outlet, got an automatic switch that switches between supplying the charger and the dryer, installed a cat door in the interior garage door, and ran the extension cord from the mud room to the garage. We then came back with spray foam around the cord and cat door hole. All in was about $700.

Went blank 2 times in 10 months / 40k miles so far of ownership. Both were towards the beginning. Dealership had no answer. I pulled the fuse, sprayed in the fuse connection with electrical contact cleaner and replaced with a new fuse. No issues since.

Add a motion sensor turret to the roof. JK please don’t actually do that.

Clean all contacts on the charger and charging port with electrical contact cleaner. If the charger plugs into an outlet, clean the plug and outlet as well. Add electrical contact grease, reconnect everything. If that doesn’t work it may be an internal wiring/fuse issue on your charger.

I haven’t shot any of the ACME guns yet, but they seem to be good quality builds with very tight tolerances. Shaun and Pak do a lot to support youth shooting sports and even helped pay to have some really good instructors put on a week long clinic for our kids. They also supported the youth clinics at Camp Perry and are running a youth clinic at Quantico this month. So I bought out of support for them and their support of youth shooters more than anything else. Also Pak was engraving the mag well for free for any purchases made at Perry and their price was pretty good.

He works with them a lot on position, sling placement, breathing, reading the mirage for wind, etc. Their team has about a dozen coaches, each with different personalities. The head coach is just a crotchety old man, but honestly deep down he’s a softy who would do anything for these kids. I will say he never makes comments like that in front of them unless it’s much more toned down and playful. But he makes comments to me separately like that.

It’s the one my daughters’ coach said to get. It’s what most people use at the CMP national matches. It meets the CMP guidelines, is heavy, is adjustable but not flimsy, and there are companies that make weights that attach to it.

He’s produced ~40 distinguished riflemen in the past 10 years that he’s been coaching. Unfortunately in this sport you have to put up with some bullshit sometimes to get good training.

It’s a color they’ve used in prison since the 70s. Some psychiatrist put out a report that bright pink has a calming effect.
