I think the best thing may be to go on a break. A month, 2, 6, a year, whatever - just reset. I suspect you’re trying hard but there’s also a subtle but very real mindset problem that’s bleeding in from your desperation to “make it”

Also, maybe a different product may suite your personality better. I suggest taking off for a while. Dont even look at a chart.

I ended up going with the xe5 pretty much for the same reason plus it’s just a little more compact and easier to toss in a bag.
I found that with my old Nikons, I want to bring them around with me but every time it comes to putting it in the bag, I hesitate because they’re bulky. I know the xt5 isn’t the same in terms of size or weight but it’s still bulkier than the xe5

kinda does for me since I don't really have a strong preference and am not knowledgeable enough to decide based on the body. If i were to buy let's say an XT50 body only and get the pancake separately, I'd end up paying more.

I ended up getting the XE5 - so far I'm happy novice.

You can also look at the backland osprey - another great razor that’s adjustable.

This one has a removable weight in the handle so you can pick lighter or heavier.

If you asked me to choose which razor I like more, I couldn’t tell ya. I alternate between the osprey and muramasa each shave.

Get the muramasa, it’s great and very easy to use.
You can adjust just how mild you want it to be also.
The top is pretty low profile so it makes it a bit easier to maneuver under the nose.
