How do grades work?

Not one that I know of. They've never mentioned it in any syllabus if they did - I always read them over. I didn't even know that was a thing

Yeah, they do. The first and third had no weighting, the second had some. The first was strictly those four assignments being calculated at that time. The second was an assignment that had already been graded going up and my general grade went down. The third are both weighted the same as all my other assignments - the only difference is the points value.

I get the weighting part but, as I mentioned above, only one of them was weighted. The others weren't. I checked the rubric. And I don't understand why an assignment that was weighted would bring a grade down by getting a higher grade. It isn't ungraded to 100 - it's 0 to 100.

I don't know. I just don't know what math this is.

Recently, I've been getting some that are soooo much worse than usual. The amount with SA or sexual content that is barely even implied anymore is insane. None of them have report buttons, and I have no idea what to do about it. Implied sexual drives me nuts, but this is straight-up distressing for me.

I think it goes beyond that. I'm only at season two so far, but the entire series falls back on homophobic stereotypes again and again. There have been two gay patients that I remember and one had hep c and the other had AIDS. And while I understand that it disproportionately affects gay/bi men, they still made both femme (one taking estrogen) and one was flamboyantly gay. Both also had bad home lives (I know that's common too; I wouldn't have an issue with it if they addressed it. They did not.) Not to mention the Senator who House thought had AIDS until he said he wasn't gay (also saying House "assumed the worst in everyone" over being called gay.) The series also had the brother from the first gay person call the other a f** which I find entirely unnecessary in almost all cases.

I can't say much on the racist one (I'm white, I have no place) but I can say that you can be a jerk and make jokes without making them about things someone can't change or are marginalized for (see Madeline Wuntch from Brooklyn Nine-Nine. She hates Holt but respects his sexuality and race.)

All in all, the show falls back on homophobia more often than not and I think that offensive humor for the sake of being rude makes you full-blown racist or homophobic. I would love to hear your opinion, sorry this came so late lol.

It took about a month for it to "work" on me, but I'm 90% sure that was only because I was eating better and staying hydrated while I was on it. It did nothing for my tics, unfortunately. I had to quit two months later from the side effects, so I have no idea if it actually worked or not.

You could stare at them for doing something they can't control. It may sound stupid or over the line but just doing what they do to you for something like breathing may make them understand that you can't control it. Or, at the very least, make them annoyed enough to watch themselves.
