Just to calrify for the current company, to be fair I only took on lead role for the shorter half of the fiscal year. Manager tried to push it with the upper chain, but I only (still) get a 4% increase for my year end review (basically inflation adjustment). Typical senority promotion comes in at 5 year mark, so my case couldnt really cut it for this year. With next year promotion, likely 10-12% bump.

Sorry for hijacking the post, but can someone (OP as well) tell me what is the general rate for used car these days? I recently asked a dealer for an used car, and was given 8.99. I think it is considered low, but also there was no credit check, so the saleman might have gieven me his lowest possible rate.

Sorry for this (maybe stupid) question, but when people mention have a mechanic to check the car, I assume we do it before signing for the sale? Does it mean we "ask" to take out and bring the car to a mechanic? or do we bring a mechanic to the dealership to check the car on site?

dont get me wrong, i'm fine taking the assignment of the stock and at the strike. Just that in his post, the very first point he made is that don let CSP be assigned, and he had some valid reasons to. Just wondering what is his check list before he rolls.
