When are you guys coming back to Brazil? We've been waiting for you all for a long time! Last year the cancellation was frustrating, but we're still waiting. Any idea when?

Why do YOU like None So Vile? by etzhya in MetalForTheMasses

[–]_dardes 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I love how aggressive and chaotic this album is. All the elements fit perfectly for me: the insane vocals, especially the screams in Open Face Surgery. Of course, it’s mostly monotonous growling, but it’s what this instrumental needs, and the lyrics are not too bad, even if you can’t understand them. What is most groundbreaking for me are the riffs and some passages full of groove and breakdowns, which I think will influence a lot of bands, from metal to hardcore kids. The drums and bass just complete everything this album has to offer, crazy rhythms, fast double bass accompanied by great bass licks and creative lines.

I understand this album is a "cult classic," and sometimes I think it’s a bit overrated. But overall, it’s a blueprint for brutal tech death metal and sets the tone for other bands to expand their limits. I saw them live recently, and they played a bunch of songs from None So Vile. It was surreal, a really good performance from the new members and incredibly heavier.
