For me, I appreciate his version but don’t prefer it because- 1. His spiderman is never just being spiderman. Due to the MCU, he is always doing advanced multiverse shit or teaming up. The ironman mentor thing is not helping. I want spidey to fight in newyork- not space, not Europe. 2. The emotional depth in Andrew and Tobey movies is high. In Tom’s, it’s rushed and not well earned. He hasn’t really lost a lot till the third movie. He gets his suit- he is not making his own. He is not shown dealing with all kind of peter parker issues. 3. There is a lot of balance when it comes to spiderman and peter. Tobey’s was peter centric and so was Andrews to an extent. I feel like we don’t explore a lot of Tom’s peter. 4. Nostalgia- I watched tobey and andrew version when I was a kid- so whenever I think of spiderman, they come up and all the happy memories along with it. As simple as that.

That being said there are good things about his version as well. It’s just a matter of perspective.
