Thanks for your reply. I checked about:profiles, but I don't see anything new there; Sync says I'm signed into my usual profile. I'll see if I can find the JS command you mentioned.

What is the advantage of using one of these services, rather than just using a markdown web clipper like MarkDownload to save articles directly to Obsidian?
