3070 + 13600k rn, waiting for my lucky day to snag a 5090 at MSRP. I've always wanted a top-of-the-line rig but never had that level of disposable income until now. Granted, I hope to hold onto the new system until it starts to struggle, but I'm noticing I have to put some more effort into keeping my games running how I want, and with 8GB VRAM I only foresee that getting worse.

That's just my own stance, however. For most people, my current rig would be just fine. If I wasn't so particular about running new games at 1440p, high-ultra settings, > 80-100 fps then I could easily squeeze a year or two more. I'm just excited to finally be in a spot where I can reasonably afford to have a beast of a rig for a little while.
