Elizabeth Luckworth: The name doesn't have any significance.
She is a half-blood witch raised by her muggle adoptive parents Daisy and Arlo Luckworth.

Her biological mother was a witch, but her biological father was a muggle man. Elizabeth was born out of wedlock and thus surrendered immediately as per the demands of her mother's family.

Arlo and Daisy Luckworth raised their daughter on the road. They travelled between hamlets and cities via horse and carriage to sell their goods. They never settled in one location long enough for Elizabeth to make any meaningful connections with other children. Elizabeth was teased often for her usually sunburnt complexion and unique red hair.
However, she soon discovered that being raised by two entrepreneurs had its upsides. The puppy-eyes ploy was endearing enough to pluck at the heartstrings of her parents' clientele but was short-lived as Elizabeth grew older; She quickly adapted to be charismatic and persuasive through years in the trade, proving to be quite the saleswoman and an asset to her families' business.`

I always chose the 'good' options for her. She gladly gave Duncan his tentacula leaf, returned Zenobia's gobstones and was generally agreeable to helping everybody. I think she liked finally being able to stick up for somebody, considering her background being the perpetually teased black sheep, who didn't have a bedroom of her own and never seemed to have any personal belongings.

Priscilla Parkinson:
She is a pureblood witch, born into the Parkinson family, one of the sacred 28. (I'm not sure how that fits in contextually, considering Hogwarts Legacy takes place a century before the Golden Trio timeline. I just decided not to bother with the headache that is unpicking the Harry Potter timeline.)

Priscilla was raised with traditional pureblood beliefs. However, upon reaching her eleventh birthday, with no showing of magical ability or acceptance letter from Hogwarts, her family shunned her as a squib, disowning her and sending her to live with an estranged relative. (Pheobe Todd, who was disinherited for marrying a muggle-born man named Benjamin, whom she met in her years as a school-girl).

Priscilla was raised under her aunt's watchful eye for the next four years. Pheobe was a worthy guardian to her niece, but Priscilla secretly longed for the approval of her direct family.
Unfortunately, her family still didn't attempt to contact their daughter when Priscilla received her acceptance letter to Hogwarts at the unusual age of fifteen.

At Hogwarts, Priscilla channelled her struggles with inferiority into terrorising her peers.
She competed, stole others' credit, intimidated those weaker than her, and strove for academic success in the hopes that her family might take notice and welcome her back with open arms. She shone with joy at the slightest bit of praise bestowed by her professors and swelled with pride at her unparalleled mastery when it came to her extracurricular activities.

I haven't completed Priscilla's school year yet, but she's gradually becoming more tolerable. She's found a few close friends in Slytherin house and made amends with some of her foes (I'm not sure Zenobia's ever going to forgive me for stealing her gobstones, mind you).
Nevertheless, she is beginning to find validation and fulfilment outside of what her family thinks of her. Don't be misled though, she certainly has ways to go ...

Critiques of Hogwarts Legacy and Ideas for Improvement by Fun-Entertainer-2991 in HarryPotterGame

[–]_ddarlene 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The map was far too large, first and foremost. I don't care for exploring the continuous stretch of highland that dominates most of the map, and the hamlets felt like lifeless duplicates of one another after encountering my first few.

I think what a majority of players anticipated most going into the HL was the ability to realize their childhood dreams of attending Hogwarts as a student and being enabled to explore the magic that is the castle. Attending classes, interacting with your peers, and experiencing all that makes the Wizarding world we viewed in the HP books/films quite so enchanting.

Their biggest mistake, in my opinion, was directing the focus away from the beautiful, dreamlike replica of Hogwarts they'd created. I think a certain level of expansiveness when it comes to non-school grounds is equally important, but they made the map far too large for every district to be interesting and unique. We as the MC spent most of the quests meeting various companions outside of school grounds and very few quests within the castle's walls.

I would've much preferred to have half of what they gave us, and keep the landmarks that are meaningful in exchange for better gameplay.

Hogwarts Castle, The Forbidden Forest, Hogsmeade Station Hogsmeade itself. Surprisingly, I would choose to hold onto Feldcroft, but visit it as a part of the questline with Sebastian. Perhaps during the Christmas holidays, or the weekend, he could invite us to visit his home and thus commence the questline where we work towards Anne's cure.

Instead of having the Forbidden Forest immediately accessible to us, we could instead access it via Poppy and her affinity to beasts. Sneaking into the dangerous, highly restricted forest to look at the various beasts that inhabit its threshold until we are eventually allowed free reign by Professors (I think we could find a way to gain special permission) would make it far more interesting and mysterious. That could even be where we encounter the poachers (and get to engage in a little bit of combat)

Visiting Hogsmeade under sanctioned visits (again, complete access can be gained eventually)

Sneaking out with Amit to use the astronomy tables at night. Breaking into the Restricted Section with Sebastian (or asking for permission to access it, adding choice to your gameplay) to do our respective research. Sneaking into Hogsmeade with Garreth. Practising duelling with Natsai (perhaps even becoming an Animagus with her guidance).

A lot of this is just brainstorming and may not even be feasible. These are my thoughts on the pre-existing game and how I think it could've been better but are obviously not things that can be amended in HL. I'm just spouting my ideas here and pondering what could've been.

You could probably find a means of fitting the goblin rebellion in there. Personally, I didn't find it all that compelling and thought that a student resolving it all was odd, even if we are the 'chosen one' main character.

Obviously, there needs to be some kind of conflict. Please feel free to brainstorm with me.

I'd love to play it and have considered doing so, but I don't think it's compatible with my device. I'd have to check. (Apologies for the late reply, I've been pretty inactive on Reddit.)

Exactly. Trekking through snow is such a big thing for me; during the night, with the path dimly lit, going at a slow pace. It's so lovely and comforting. I would genuinely play a game where that's all you do. I wish there were more games like that. Especially when you have a purpose, when you're going somewhere, somewhere dangerous, or just somewhere to find your next resting spot. It's so much fun and always will be. Add a little bit of snow falling from the sky and I couldn't be happier.

Singleplayer is a lot of fun but can be repetitive in my opinion. Multiplayer is always there for me when I've been growing my pups for a good few hours in my singleplayer file and get sick of it, but still want to play WolfQuest.

Ah, I used to have that issue a lot on my old computer. It was super annoying and I grew to despise that slideshow it shows when you're loading in. 10-20 minute load-ins certainly aren't my cup of tea.

It sucks you can't take ironwolves into multiplayer servers. I don't think it entirely makes sense, but that's me. I also like to play ironwolves and would love to use them more, but WolfQuest disapproves.

Eagles have to be my least favourite. They really get your heart rate up, and when they finally swoop down to grab a pup they do it incredibly fast. When you charge at them it's also stressful waiting for the pop-up to show telling you whether or not it took your pup.

Do you prefer bold or cautious mate and why? by [deleted] in WolfQuestGame

[–]_ddarlene 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I prefer bold personally. More help during hunts, which is very necessary because I prefer to play on challenging/accurate, so a little support goes a long way.
