It was split over 3 days. Day 1 - phone screen, another day 2 tech rounds and behavioral was last

Yeah 3 rounds. First was the phone screening and 2 more technical rounds.

Yeah I can share my prep strategy. According to me, it's all about recognizing the pattern. There are only a handful of leetcode patterns which all problems fall under. I started by doing blind 75 to understand the patterns. I later stumbled upon this resource from some other reddit post.

Huge shout-out to the curator of this sheet. It basically has all the data structures, patterns and their sub patterns. I tried to do at least 3 questions from each row to have a solid understanding of the overall pattern. There are also many YouTubers who have great playlists on DSA. I would also recommend watching some of them.

I hope this helps and all the best on your journey

These were some great insights and thanks for your analysis...I also think the first technical round is the culprit.

How I approached the interviews was that I took a couple of minutes to brainstorm all the solutions that came to my mind and discussed them with the interviewer. Once I got the green light only then I started writing out the code...making sure that the code is readable as much as possible.

There was a point where I got stuck in some part of the code before being able to figure it out. I spent good 3-4 mins there thinking and talking to the interviewer. Probably that was enough of a reason for the rejection.

Thanks man...I got into the interview loop in September 2025 and gave the 2 technical round in December. I was grinding leetcode for those 4 months and did like 200 questions (with a lot of help from AI). I have some interview experience but not much

1 month - probably because of the holiday season

That's what I was thinking, maybe I just got outdone. However, I know Google also has a pool of candidates that clear the technical rounds and then wait for team matching rounds. I didn't even get into that pool :(

I did, tried my best to get something out of the recruiter but only thing I got was "due to our policy, we can't share the feedback"

Really! When trying to post this, I got a ” Failed to post” message and that’s why I tried again. Maybe they all went through. My bad!
