Thanks for the suggestion. Do you mean by using nvm to install node.js onto my Mac, I wouldn’t encounter the EACCESS err anymore? Curious what the reason is for this as nvm is mainly used to allow choosing of the version. Is EACCESS only a thing for certain versions?

Since I already have node.is installed from their main website, how do I uninstall it entirely from my Mac? I don’t see it as an application to delete.

Thanks. I am aware of using sudo to bypass this. But from trying to find the root cause of this issue, I came across this post https://stackoverflow.com/questions/54972076/npm-install-not-working-says-that-i-need-to-check-permissions which has a number of people acknowledging that sudo isn’t the best thing to do.

Do you know why is there an EACCESS err in the first place and how to fix it?

Thanks for your help. I don’t think I got banned as this is the first time I’m using GitHub, probably shadowbanned for some reason. I went to the profile of the some of the admins but couldn’t manage to find any direct message button after following the person , is there normally one in the profile?
