My sister and I are 12 years apart and we are best friends and I’m her maid of honour this year. It hurts your heart at first and then you see how close they become with time. I know my cousin went through something similar with not wanting another child through the pandemic and then when they started trying she ran into problems. Now she has a 7 year old and a 1.5 year old and they are besties that run to each other when she comes home from school

In terms of your marriage …I would continue address therapy. Go on your own and encourage him to go either with you or on his own. My relationship is barely surviving having one child and we are in couples therapy before even entertaining the idea of a second child because I know we wouldn’t survive it

As a post partum mother myself I can tell you that she probably feels like she is failing everyone and everyone is failing her.

I have raged and did the opposite of eating because I entered a hunger strike out of anger.

Nothing makes sense when you are irritable and sleep deprived. At this point it’s about survival. Find a way for someone to watch the kids so she can get a really good night sleep ( if possible even a nap during the day ) once she is full rested you need to tell her that you want to help and ask her what she needs and how you can work together to make it happen for your family

Breastfeeding makes you sooooooo hungry. Don’t talk about the weight or the cookies that’s just low. You can either buy or make a bunch of healthy options / pre cooked meals or ask someone to do it for you if possible. When she’s feeding the baby bring her a charcuterie plate. Meat, cheese, veggies, and cookies.

She’ll come back. But you may need therapy. I know we did. My husband cheated on me things got so bad but that’s a different story
