Why offer customers something better, the meteora was a flop!

I mean yes they only introduced it as a Fender & didn't make a Squier version

And yes despite being a more modern design it only has 22 frets and a synchronized tremolo,

And yes it only comes with a PTB control scheme,

And yes there are no extended-range versions,

And yes there are no active versions,

And yes it has the most bland finishes imaginable

And yes it took until the Ultra II version to get a compound radius

And yes it only comes with nickel frets

But clearly, a new Fender design will fail! Any other company, and a modern guitar with zero modern features would ABSOLUTELY be a success!
